Want is a Fitness Boot Camp workout?
This is a very unique outdoor fitness camp, designed to be fun, yet challenging. The cool thing is that it can be done at your local playground or park with the support of others looking to achieve the same level of fitness that you are. The training philosophy for this camp involves the use of functional movements.
Our goal is to train individuals to be able to withstand the grind of a physically, emotionally and mentally demanding life and daily schedule. To do this, the exercises for this camp entail learning to move the body in functional patterns which incorporate strength, balance, core stabilization and kinesthetic awareness.
Functional strength training should be thought of in terms of a movement continuum. The human body performs a wide range of movement activities, such as walking, jogging, running, sprinting, jumping, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, turning, standing, starting, stopping, climbing and lunging.
All of these activities involve smooth, rhythmic motions in the three cardinal planes of movement, sagittal, coronal and transverse.
The body works as an integrated unit and needs to be trained as such. This type of training will best prepare the individual for competitive sport or tasks of everyday life.
Believe me, you will get results, and you will have fun doing so.
